This was disclosed after the claim by Katsina Police Command of arresting a member of its arm militia Eastern Security Network (ESN) in Katsina.

According to the Katsina state police on Tuesday, a man identified as David Eric Uchenna, 19, aka Ibrahim Muhammed, was arrested at Kofar Sauri Quarters in the Katsina metropolis.

The suspect was arrested following a tip-off from some allies he confided in.

IPOB denied having a connection with the said person, adding that the claim by the Police Command was laughable and not expected of the police institution.

According to a statement by IPOB Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, the organisation said it has never engaged in the business of kidnapping.

He added that such a claim made by the police was outside their mandate.
