Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Commander, Hossein Salami has told Hezbollah Chief Hassan Nasrallah that Israel would face “a crushing response from the axis of resistance,” according to state media.
The statement came after attacks on Hezbollah’s communication devices.
The “axis of resistance” refers to Iran-aligned armed groups across the Middle East, including Lebanon’s Hezbollah, Yemen’s Houthis, and Iraq’s Popular Mobilisation Forces.
Lebanon and Hezbollah have accused Israel of carrying out the attacks on Tuesday and Wednesday, which resulted in 37 deaths and around 3,000 injuries.
While Israel has not officially commented, security sources suggest Mossad, Israel’s intelligence agency, is likely responsible.

“Such terrorist acts are undoubtedly the result of the Zionist regime’s (Israel) despair and successive failures.
This will soon be met with a crushing response from the axis of resistance, and we will witness the destruction of this bloodthirsty and criminal regime,” Salami conveyed to Nasrallah.
The tension between Iran and Israel, marked by frequent threats, has escalated over the years.
Last April, Iran launched drones and missiles at Israel following an Israeli strike on its embassy compound in Syria.
In response to the recent attacks, Nasrallah stated on Thursday that the destruction of Hezbollah’s radios and pagers “crossed all red lines” and “could be called a declaration of war.”
