Is Coronavirus A Punishment From God? – Lagosians Speak (VIDEO)

As the novel virus continues to swarm the world with a seeming rage, some Lagosians are of the notion that the pandemic is as a result of sin and that God is using the situation to prove to man his supremacy and putting a check to the excesses of man.

Notable among such commentators is the General overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of GOD, Pastor Adeboye who said that the whole issue of the disease which he had seen in the spiritual realm before now is GOD proving to man his supremacy. He said the vision scared him to the level that out of fear, he couldn’t reveal it to the world the way he saw it. He wondered how possibly it would be for him to tell the world that there would be a forced holiday without sounding like a security threat.

Furthermore, some Christians who spoke with Ekohotblog also corroborated the statement of church leader by saying that sin has virtually taken over the world and the whole issue requires spiritual remedy. The remedy they recommend is reconciliation with GOD.

This belief of these people is quite interesting as the bible has instances when plaques have been used to punish a sinful lot. Could this be true?
