Israel Strikes Lebanon, Killing 3 Emergency Responders

Published

on

A devastating Israeli airstrike in southern Lebanon has claimed the lives of three emergency workers, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health.

The victims were part of an ambulance team attempting to extinguish a fire in the town of Froun, Nabatieh district.

This heartbreaking incident marks the second time an ambulance team has been targeted within a span of 12 hours, sparking outrage and accusations of international law violations.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) claim the strike eliminated terrorists from the Amal movement, a Hezbollah-allied Shia group.

However, the Amal movement mourns the loss of two members, stating they were killed while performing their humanitarian duties in defense of Lebanon.

Lebanon’s caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati vehemently condemns the strike as a “blatant violation of international laws” and a “blatant aggression against human values.”

He has called for an emergency meeting with Western ambassadors and international representatives to demand accountability and pressure Israel to cease its “crimes against Lebanon and the Lebanese.”

As tensions escalate, cross-border fire between Israel and Iran-backed Hezbollah continues to intensify.

Hezbollah retaliates with a squadron of suicide drones and Al-Falaq missiles, targeting IDF headquarters and settlements.

The IDF reports no injuries, but the situation remains volatile.

Brigadier General Raymond Khattar, director of Lebanon’s Civil Defense, offers his deepest condolences to the families of the victims and wishes a speedy recovery to the injured Mohammad Amasha, undergoing surgery for serious injuries sustained during the raid.

This tragic event underscores the urgent need for a peaceful resolution to the conflict, as innocent lives continue to be lost in the crossfire.
