“The Israeli attack on Joun in the Chouf district resulted in the deaths of 15 martyrs, including eight women and four children,” the ministry stated. Twelve others were reported injured.
The National News Agency (NNA) noted that the targeted building had housed displaced people who had fled previous Israeli bombardments amid the ongoing conflict with Hezbollah.
In the Aley region, a few kilometers north of the Chouf, another strike killed eight people, with the health ministry confirming the victims were refugees taking shelter in a house. Additionally, one person died in Tyre, located in southern Lebanon, due to another Israeli strike.
