The Nigerian won the award for the second consecutive time

Nigerian Mixed Martial Art superstar, Israel Adesanya named fighter of the Year for 2020 at the World, MMA Awards staged on Sunday, December 27.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that It is the second time in a row that the Nigerian has won the prize after winning the United UFC Middleweight Championship in 2019.

In 2018, the Nigerian has won the Breakthrough Fighter of the Year award and his actions continue to grow within the MMA community.

Adesanya started the year with a win over Romero at Las Vegas’ 248 – his first battle since unifying the Middleweight Championship in October last year.

And then he hammered Costa into the second round of his other fight of the year September following a series of punches – a fight that won him Performance of the Night.
