EKO HOT BLOG reports that Nollywood actor Kunle Remi has broken his silence over being snubbed for an Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA) nomination, despite playing the lead role in the film “Anikulapo.” The movie received 16 nominations in 15 categories, but Kunle did not receive any.
Speaking on the TV show “Your View,” Kunle stated that the snub did not affect his worth or fame. He emphasized that his role as “Saro” was not motivated by the desire for an award, but rather by a challenge.
“Nomination, well, I fell into the category of non-nominated artistes. It doesn’t reduce my value, fame, and energy,” he said.
Kunle also addressed rumours that he was snubbed because of comments he made in an interview about a senior colleague who allegedly tried to persuade him to engage in homosexuality. He denied making such comments and stated that his focus was on his work as an actor.
“I’m not someone who would say something about somebody else, especially a senior colleague. I’ve been in this industry for a long time, and I know how to conduct myself,” he said.
Kunle has been in the movie industry for over a decade and has appeared in several popular films and TV shows. He is known for his versatile acting skills and has won several awards for his performances.
Despite the AMVCA snub, Kunle remains focused on his craft and continues to work on new projects. He has also received support from fans and colleagues in the industry, who have praised his talent and professionalism.
