It Is Wrong To Say Kyari Is Infected With Covid-19 Says Femi Adeshina

Special adviser to President Buhari on media, Mr. Femi Adeshina has denied that Mr. Abba Kyari who is the chief of staff of President Buhari has contacted coronavirus.

While reacting to questions on a radio station in Lagos this morning, Dr. Adeshina pointed out that it was wrong to say that a person is infected without the permission of such a n individual. He pointed out that it is against medical ethics to do so.

The radio presenter went further to remind the presidential aide that other notable persons around the world have been publicly confirmed but Adeshina responded that such must have been as a result of the permission of such individuals.

Furthermore, Adeshina in response to why the President hasn’t addressed Nigerians said there really was no need for the President’s speech especially when the same president has set up a presidential committee with daily address by the ministers of health and the minister of state for health, governors across the state and their commissioners for health. Adeshina said it was not a mandatory thing despite being reminded that President of other countries do this.

He said if it becomes necessary, the President will address the nation anytime soon. Adeshina further revealed that the President has approved the disbursement of 10 billion naira to the Lagos state government in its fight against the corona virus.

He further urged Nigerians to continue to pray and believe that the days of the virus will be short.
