EKO HOT BKOG reports that veteran journalist and publisher of Eko Hot Blog Media Group, Otunba T.J. Abass, has charged members of the organisation’s staff stating that “It’s never too late for one to have a dream”.
He made the charge at the Eko Hot Blog 2023 staff retreat held over the weekend in Epe, Lagos State.
Narrating what inspired him to establish Eko Hot Blog, he said, “I have always wanted to be in the media space.
“When I retired, I asked myself, ‘what next?’ All my life, I had been taking care of other people’s dreams. So, I decided to create something for myself. It wasn’t about the financial rewards; it was about doing what I wanted.”
He went further, stating that his unending drive for journalism made him go back to school after retirement to pursue his postgraduate studies in Journalism, which led to the formation of Eko Hot Blog, one of the fastest-growing online media platforms.
In his words; “I have always wanted to be in the media, so, I went back to school to pursue my post-graduate studies in journalism which led to the creation of EKO HOT BLOG, which led to the creation of a youtube channel and hopefully, that is what will lead to the first radio station in Epe.
“So, Education is continuing, you just have to continue. It’s never too late for you to have a dream, it’s never too late for you to have a goal, it’s never too late to do what you are passionate about, that is how you can better yourself.”
Otunba Abass also charged reporters, presenters, and others present at the event to make the decision to be better versions of themselves in 2023.
According to the Eko Hot Blog CEO, the media organisation is the perfect place for employees to get better at what they do.
“We need a renewed energy to focus that will ensure that we take Eko Hot Blog to the next level,” he said.
“Besides Eko Hot Blog giving you employment opportunities, I want you to see this place as a platform to better yourself; to become a better version of yourself; to become a better reporter; to become a better presenter; to become a better editor because TVC, LTV 8, Arise will not give you that opportunity.”
“If you want to get better, you have to do it here.”
In his closing remarks, Otunba Abass thanked the Eko Hot Blog members of staff for being part of the organisation while anticipating a prosperous and productive 2023.
