As earlier reported by EKO HOT BLOG, the governor was attacked by gunmen suspected to be herdsmen on Saturday while on a visit to his farm.
The incident had generated outrage and widespread condemnation from politicians across the political spectrum .
President Muhammadu Buhari had also called for an investigation into the attack.
After meeting with the president on Tuesday at the state house, Abuja, Ortom said it would be preposterous for him to get himself killed just to score political point.
