‘It’s Saddening, Agonising’ – Wale Raji Mourns Chief Olayemi

The Federal Lawmaker representing Epe Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon. Wale Raji, has described the late chief Giwa Olayemi as a vanguard of socioeconomic growth.
Chief Olayemi, a political gladiator of Epe stock, died on January 9th at the age of 89.
A 8th day Fidau prayer was held in honour of the late exceptional administrator at his Odo-Shiwola residence in Eredo LCDA.
In a telephone interview with Ekohotblog, the Federal Lawmaker representing Epe Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon. Wale Raji, expressed shock at the sunset of an inestimable Statesman who has been in the forefront of bettering the lives of his people.
The astute Lawmaker stated that Chief GA Olayemi was his role model whose wealth of experience he had tapped.
” It is saddening and agonizing to come to terms with the fact that our role model and mentor has returned to his creator” Raji said
He apologised for not being at the fidau prayer, citing call of duty as a legislator for his reason.
“Permit me to apologize for not making it to the Fidau prayers to pay my last respect. It was due to exigencies of serving the good people of Epe Federal Constituency.
” Chief Olayemi during his lifetime has been a vanguard in promoting the socio-economic status of his people in several capacities he served in Epe, Eredo and Lagos State entirely.
We have lost a jewel because his legacies will forever linger in our memories “, he stated.
He however commiserated with families of the deceased, the APC family, Eredo LCDA Ibonwon descendants, for the irreplaceable loss.
While praying to for his families to possess the strength and fortitude to bear his loss, Wale Raji prayed to Almighty God to continue to rest his soul peacefully.
