Reflecting on the intense election campaign, Governor Makinde acknowledged the challenges and issues that arose within the party ranks.

He stated, “Well, I want to point out that we went through a grueling election, and whether we want to admit it or not, we had issues amongst ourselves during the elections. But, you know what? The healing process has to start, and it must start now.”

Governor Makinde urged party members to focus on unity and adopt a forward-thinking approach. He assured them that PDP governors are committed to stabilizing the party and are “willing, ready, and able” to do so.

The governor also stressed the importance of adaptability in planning, encouraging party members to be flexible and seize opportunities as they arise, rather than rigidly waiting for specific circumstances to align with a predetermined plan.

Governor Makinde’s call for unity and his dissolution of the Oyo State Executive Council, along with the dismissal of political office holders, demonstrates his commitment to addressing internal issues within the party. By emphasizing the healing process and urging PDP stakeholders to put their differences aside, the governor aims to promote unity and strengthen the party’s position moving forward.
