An Itsekiri leader, Pa Ayomike Joe and his wife, Chinyere, have reportedly been found dead in their Warri residence.
As gathered by Eko Hot Blog, Pa Joe Ayomike, an Emeritus Director of Warri Choral Society, alongside his wife, were found dead at their home in the GRA area of Warri, Delta state on Monday, June 28 2021.
Details regarding how the couple died remain sketchy as at the time of filing this report.
Chinyere, who was, before her demise, a Senior Lecturer at the Delta State University and her husband were found dead by residents on Monday morning with their corpses already past the first stage of death.
DSP Edafe Bright, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer confirmed the incident, and stated that investigation is ongoing to unravel who killed Pa Ayomike and his wife.
“Yes, it is confirmed but I can’t say for now what led to his death or his wife. No arrest has been made so far”
Chairman of Warri South Local Government, Dr. Michael Tidi, who also confirmed the tragedy, expressed shock over the incident and pledged to do everything within his powers to unravel the killers of Pa Ayomike and his wife.
“The gruesome murder of Pa Joe Ayomike and his wife is a huge blow.”
“I want to assure you that as the Chief Security officer of Warri South council area, we are going to do all within our power to ensure that the perpetrators of this dastardly act are brought to book. We will not rest until the killers are brought to book.”
“On behalf of my family and the good people of Warri South Local Government Area, we condole with the Ayomike family and the entire Itsekiri nation at this difficult period.” Tidi said.

In 1992, he founded the Warri Choral Society, WCS, and would usually organize a two-hour concert, conducted by his wife, Chi-Chi Ayomike, who had PhD and was Senior Lecturer at the Delta State University, Abraka.
