Jah FC has emerged winner of the 2019 Ward F Councillor’s Cup organised by Hon. Victor Onifade, in Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government area of Lagos State.
Jah FC, also known as Zone 2 defeated Zone 6 by three goals to 2 via Penalty shootout to win the 2019 edition.
According to the organiser, who also doubles as the Chairman House Committee on Education, Youth and Sports, “The essence of the event was to keep the youths united through football and to bring out the best and talented among them.”
He emphasized that the tournament was part of the APC’s move to initiate and implement strategic programmes that would endear the party to Nigerian youths.
In a bid to celebrate this year’s independence day and also bring Ward F youths together, a lover of soccer has organised a football Fiesta for youths within ward F .
The competition which had ten teams competed at Ogundimu Primary School, Iju Ajuwon, Lagos State, was a huge success, despite the heavy rain.
