EKO HOT BLOG reports that the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, has revealed that his party is working on some sort of alliance with other smaller parties, in their bid to remove the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) from power in Lagos State.
Jandor had on Wednesday clinched the PDP ticket for the 2023 governorship election in Lagos State.
Declaring the result in Ikeja, the Chairman of the Lagos PDP Electoral Committee/Returning Officer, Emmanuel Ogidi, said Adediran scored 679 votes to defeat his opponent David Vaughan, who polled 20 votes.
“We have had other political parties trying to see how we can work together. They have come even long before now to tell us that irrespective of where we came from, they were ready to align with us.
There are about four of them that are aligning with our interest because our aspiration is the same thing: how to we rescue Lagos from those that have held it by the jugular for over 20 years,” he told Punch.
