Jema’a LG Chair Vows To Commit To Good Governance

Jema’a Local Government chairman Mr. Peter Danjuma Averik has promised to commit himself to redefining governance with much priority on peace and people-centred policies if re-elected for the second time in the forthcoming local government elections.

Mr. Averik made the commitment shortly after he was declared winner at the PDP chairmanship Primary election held on Thursday in Kafanchan, Jema’a Local Government area of Kaduna State.

He described his victory as the will of God followed by successes his office had recorded in the areas of peace and security, rural development, health and education among others.

He called on other contestants to accept the result in good faith and join hands with him to deliver the party in the forthcoming polls toward taking the local government to a greater height.

The chairman who thanked the people of Jema’a, Party Executive and Delegates for their goodwill and support, pleaded with them to once again trust him with their Mandate, stating that he was better equipped with rich experience than ever to render quality service toward promoting peace and development in the area.

In the spirit of sportsmanship, one of the contestant Mr. Titus Ibrahim Gimba who came third congratulated the chairman for his victory at the PDP primary election and assured him of his total support in the interest of the party.

The Chairman, PDP Election committee in Jema’a local government, Hon Abdullahi Kodi described the election as peaceful, fair and credible.

Radio Nigeria gathered that Mr. Peter Danjuma Averik got 155 Votes to emerged the winner, followed by Engr. Martins Felix Galadima with 106 Votes, Titus Ibrahim 022, and Barr. Solomon Gimba 000.
