As reported by Naija News, Aderounmu’s brother had criticized Akindele for not reaching out to his sister, unlike other Nollywood stars. However, Adaku and Jide Awobona, fellow Jenifa’s Diary actors, have refuted these claims.
Adaku expressed her displeasure with people “taking sides on the matter despite not having the full details,” while Awobona revealed that Akindele had contacted him to check on Aderounmu, who was reportedly isolating herself.
As quoted in the source, Awobona stated, “I really don’t feel like saying anything about this but I need to let the world know that Aunty Funke actually called me to ask of Jumoke because she knows we were cool. She insisted I call her to be sure she is fine.”
