Ekohotblog reports that fast rising Nollywood actor, Jide Awobona has premiered his debut film titled Alabede.

Jide Awobona whose name is gradually becoming a household name rose to limelight due to his role as “Sam” in the comic series Jenifa’s diary.

The talented actor is notable for featuring in highly rated series such as Wale Adenuga production’s Binta & Friends, This life, Family Ties, Face to Face and many other movies.

Having carved a niche for himself as an excellent actor, Jide Awobona has decided to take up a new challenge of becoming a film producer.

His debut movie, Alabede premiered at Jara mall, Ikeja, Lagos state amidst fanfare.

Alabede is an epic genre movie, rich in display of cultural excellence and Yoruba as its major language of expression. The theme of the movie is centered around circumcision.

It is believed by industry insiders that the film has a budget of over N10 million with casts by popular Nollywood stars such as, Razaq Olayiwola, Tunde Ola-Yusuf, Jide Awobona, Antar Laniyan, Toyin Adegbola, Peju Ogunmola, Adeniyi Johnson, Oyebade Adebimpe, Jamiu Azeez, Jumoke Odetola, Peter Fatomilola, and Abeni Agbon

Alabede was directed by Razaq Olayiwola.
