He’s Done It All – Patience Jonathan Dismisses 2027 Presidential Bid For Husband

Former First Lady Dame Patience Jonathan has clarified her husband, Goodluck Jonathan’s stance on the 2027 presidential election, stating that he has no intention of running for office.

There had been growing calls from political stakeholders urging the former president to consider vying for the presidency again in 2027.

However, speaking during an event hosted by the Greater Igbo Forum in Abuja, Patience Jonathan emphasized that her husband has already reached the highest political office in Nigeria and is no longer interested in pursuing further political ambitions.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that She explained, “My husband has reached the pinnacle of political office. What is he looking for again? We are not going in again.” She also assured that Jonathan remains committed to supporting the current government in its efforts to build a better Nigeria.

In her address, the former First Lady also called on the Igbo community to unite and focus on the collective good of the country. She stressed the importance of setting aside political and personal differences to prioritize national development.

“We should love this country more than ourselves. Because if you don’t love this country, what is the future of our children?” she asked.

She encouraged the Igbo people to manage their relationships, love one another, and foster unity. “Let us be united and be our brother’s keepers,” she concluded.

Her remarks reflect a call for unity and collaboration, urging the Igbo community and all Nigerians to work together for the country’s future.
