Jos Killings: Three UNIJOS Students Killed, Two Missing In Reprisal Attacks

  • The Chairman of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), University of Jos chapter, Comrade Jeremiah Dalong, told newsmen in Jos on Tuesday, August 17, 2021.

Not less than three students of the University of Jos (UNIJOS) have been feared killed while two others are missing after the attack on commuters along the Rukuba road on Saturday.

Eko Hot Blog learnt that five students of the university are also receiving treatment in hospital in Jos, the Plateau State capital. They sustained injuries in a reprisal attack after 23 commuters were killed.

The Chairman of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), University of Jos chapter, Comrade Jeremiah Dalong, told newsmen in Jos on Tuesday, August 17, 2021.

He called on the Plateau State, Federal Government and the Management of the University of Jos to urgently send food to the stranded students at their hostels.

He said they should be evacuated in the interim to reunite with their families.

According to Dalong, two students have not been seen since the crisis broke out in Jos.

He further lamented students are stranded in their various hostels because of the 24-hour curfew imposed on Jos North LGA by Plateau Government.
