The promoter of Anthony Joshua, Eddie Hearn, has disagreed with the suggestion that Joshua’s next fights should be staged indoors, adding that if the coronavirus-free country could not be provided for staging the fights, he is rather alright with the postponement.

Hearn disclosed that the proposed fights are between Joshua against Kubrat Pulev and the scheduled time and place is Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on June 20, 2020, but has been suspended indefinitely due to the coronavirus pandemic.
British Boxing Board of Control has, however, issued a series of rules for the sport’s perspective domestic return in July, including all shows taking place without fans, and trainer,s and officials wearing face-masks.
Hearn added that the British Boxing Board of Control has really done well with the rules of staging boxing without spectator but he would rather prefer postponement to stage without a spectator.
“These countries are going to be up and running a lot quicker than our country or America.
“Would Saudi (Arabia) or Dubai or Abu Dhabi be ready to stage an event in September or October? I think 100 percent.
“If you can’t get a live gate for the bigger fights we have to look elsewhere and that involves looking at other territories.
“Do I really want AJ to box behind closed doors? No. With what he has produced in terms of that live audience, I will be doing everything I can do make sure AJ doesn’t fight behind closed doors,” he said.
