The decision of the family to hold the house warming on boxing day is spurred by the peculiarity of the day, which extols the virtue of thanksgiving for the success achieved during the year.

He said the calamity and unfortunate events that have marred the year makes him even more appreciative and thankful for the protection of God over him and his family. Adewale said “This year has been challenging for everybody because of the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s affected everybody economically, socially but whatever happens in life there always an opportunity to give thanks to almighty Allah and give thanks to Allah for sparing my life and that of my loved ones.

“Personally, I’m also using this day as a day of remembrance of my dear mother because today happens to be my mother’s birthday and that’s why I chose today, to dedicate this house to her and honour her memory.

“My grandmother inspired this edifice, she always told me not do stuff in Lagos only because I come from two places and being very close to my grandmother, that statement continues to resonate in my minds and ears. So when the opportunity came, I took it. I’ve another house in Lagos, but I said this would be in memory of my grandmother.”

Also speaking, Olori Tinuke Alake Dosumu, wife of Adewale Alade Dosumu, recounted the ordeal encountered in the course of erecting the humongous building.
