Eko Hot Blog reports that Nigeria international Ahmed Musa has lowered the price of fuel at his filing station MYCA7 in Kano from N620 to N580 per litre.
The Super Eagles skipper tweeted this on Monday as the hike in fuel prices bite deeper into incomes.
Musa wrote: “Fuel #580 @MYCA -7 Filling Station Kano,” sparking excitement among Nigerians.
An inquisitive Twitter user questioned Musa on how it was feasible to have a lower pricing in Kano than in Lagos. Musa replied by saying “That is what I decided to sell mine for.”
Musa’s kind act was quickly seen by drivers as one Usman Muhammad made a point of thanking Musa after filling up his car.
Muhammad stated, “It’s a good development; I can now have some money with me instead of purchasing at a higher cost.”
Musa, who has been facing backlash over his continuous inclusion in the Super Eagles, shared on Instagram Story messages of people showing gratitude for his humanitarian act in Kano.
In 2018, Musa purchased the filing station. He also owns a school and sports and fitness centre.
