EKO HOT BLOG reports that ten Bimodal Voter Accreditation Systems (BVAS) have been stolen in Delta State as electorates vote for their preferred governorship and house of assembly candidates.
An official of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) who confirmed the development in a video spotted online said they are still trying to check the units affected due to the missing BVAS.
The official call on security operatives at the collation centre to bring it out for them to count the remaining ones in the presence of the press.
After, counting, he noted that units should have 23 BVAS, however, 14 BVAS are being found at the INEC Centre.
He called on the authorities to attend to the issue, adding that their resources have not been tampered with.
The INEC official disclosed that the BVAS for units, 2, 5, backup BVAS, 6, 19, 8, 20, 9 and some others are still intact.
