EKO HOT BLOG reports that two Professors and other members of staff of the University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) who were abducted recently have been rescued.
Recall that unidentified gunmen suspected to be kidnappers had invaded the staff quarters of the university on Monday and abducted some residents.
The kidnappers, 24 hours after the attack, contacted families of the victims and demanded ₦300 million as ransom.

However, Police Public Relations Officer of the Federal Capital Territory Command, DSP Josephine Adeh, who confirmed their release on Friday morning, said their rescue followed the efforts of the command in a joint operation with other security agencies.
According to Daily Post, she added that some suspects linked to the crime have been arrested by security operatives.
The PPRO was, however, unable to state whether a ransom was paid prior to the release.
