JUST IN: Abducted Victims Regain Freedom As NAF Jet Causes Commotion In Bandits’ Camp

  • Scores of abducted victims have regained freedom as NAF jet caused a commotion in bandits’ camp.

EKOHOTBLOG reports that an Air Force jet that hovered over parts of Rugu forest in Katsina State has scared away bandits and led to the escape of no fewer than 20 kidnapped victims, including 10 women.

The abducted victims, while sharing their ordeal to newsmen at the Hajj camp in Katsina on Saturday, disclosed that they spent five months in the bandits’ captivity.

EKOHOTBLOG reports that the escapees included 10 women, eight girls, a middle-aged man, and a boy.

Speaking, one of the escapees, Rabiu Mannir, revealed that the bandits heard the roar of the jet on Friday night and scampered for safety, adding that the incident led to their (victims) escape.

He said, “We were sitting as usual with a few bandits who were guarding us when we heard the jet. They started running and when I saw them running, I began to unlock the padlock with which they locked my legs and begun to run.”

Mannir added that he asked the women to pick their children so that they could all run for their freedom.
