EKOHOTBLOG reports that unknown gunmen suspected to be bandits have abducted no fewer than five women following an attack on the Birnin Yero community in the Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
It was gathered that the bandits stormed the community at night and kidnapped seven residents but some later escaped.
A resident, who simply identified himself as Nasir, disclosed that among the victims were housewives and young ladies, adding that the bandits arrived a week after they abducted six other residents from the same community.

Another resident, Yahaya Salisu, said the number of people abducted was higher but the claim could not be independently verified.
The Kaduna State Public Relations Officer, ASP Jalige Mohammed, when contacted, said he was not aware of the abduction, noting that he will find out from the division officer before commenting.
EKOHOTBLOG recalls that bandits, on Tuesday, abducted no fewer than 18 residents of Keke ll community of Chikun Local Government Area of the state.
