The publisher of Safety Record Newspaper , and founder of General Safety Services Limited, Alhaji (Dr.) Lateef Adegbuyi Alebiosu is dead.
Dr. Lateef Alebiosu was a former President of the Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria (ISPON) and a British-trained veteran fireman.
According to HSENations, Alhaji (Dr.) Lateef Adegbuyi Alebiosu died early hours of today, Saturday, February 8, 2020.
About
Alhaji (Dr.) Lateef Adegbuyi Alebiosu known as one of the founding fathers of safety in Nigeria and a revered Chief in Ijebu- Ode in Ogun state Nigeria.
He started work with Nigeria AGIP Oil Company PLC. as a safety officer in 1972, where he rose to become the fire and safety superintendent and head of department before retiring in 1994 from services after 21 years of meritorious service.
Till his death, he was a safety consultant and principal partner in his own firm. General Safety Services Ltd.
He was awarded Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in leadership and safety management, completed the safety management course of the British safety councils and Oxford polytechnic safety diploma course and holds the international diploma in safety management of the British Safety Council.
Dr. L.A Alebiosu belongs to many international and national professional bodies. Past President (2009-2011) and member board of governors, Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria (ISPoN). He authors the book Safety and You.
