EKO HOT BLOG reports that Jigawa State Governor, Badaru Abubakar, has declared Monday, August 9, 2021, as a public holiday to commemorate the Islamic New Year — Hijrah 1443 AH
This was made known via a statement by the Jigawa State Head of Civil Service, Alhaji Hussaini Ali Kila, on Saturday.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that Governor Abubakar congratulated the Muslim faithful for witnessing the New Year just as he urged them to intensify prayers against the current insecurity in the country.

The governor further enjoined the people of the state to reflect the teachings of Islam and the practice of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
