Eko Hot Blog reports that former Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Timipre Sylva, has emerged the winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary election.
The election was conducted on Friday but the result was declared Saturday afternoon.
Eko Hot Blog gathered that Sylva polled a total of 52,061 votes to defeat his opponents, including David Lyon, who won the 2019 poll but was removed by the Supreme Court because his running mate committed forgery.
The APC governorship candidate will face Governor Duoye Diri, a member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), in the election slated for November 11, 2023.
