All Progressives Congress (APC), to support a co-contender in the race, Bola Tinubu.
Senator Akpabio, who recently resigned his appointment as the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs; Former Governor of Ogun State, Ibikunle Amosun; Governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi; and former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dimeji Bankole announced their withdrawal on Tuesday in Abuja.
They explained that they took the decision to step down for the APC chieftain in the interest of the party and the nation, and asked their supporters to pitch their tents with the former Lagos State governor.
