EKO HOT BLOG reports that 10 presidential aspirants of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) who participated in the party’s screening have been disqualified.
This is coming barely 72 hours after the APC Screening Committee concluded the screening of 23 presidential aspirants.
Chairman of the screening Committee, John Odigie-Oyegun, made this known when he submitted the report of his seven-member panel to the national chairman of the party, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, at the party’s national secretariat on Friday, June 3, 2022.
The list of those affected by the committee’s decision cannot be immediately confirmed.
Recall that the ruling party began screening candidates on Monday May 30 and concluded screening on Tuesday May 31 2022.

At the end of the screening, a total of 23 aspirants were screened which included Former Governor of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu; Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo; Former Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha; Governor of Kogi Yahaya Bello; Senate President, Ahmad Lawan; Minister Of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi; among others.
Barring any last minute plot twist, the aspirants are expected to battle for the APC’s presidential ticket on June 6 at the party’s special convention in Abuja.
