JUST IN: Assailants Stone NTA Staff To Death In Kogi

• Assailants have stoned a staff of NTA to death in Kogi.

EKOHOTBLOG reports that a staff of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) identified as Chukwu Odiahu has been stoned to death by unknown assailants in Okene, Kogi State.

It was gathered that late NTA staff, who worked at the engineering department of the broadcast station in Okene, was stoned dead after he closed from work on Tuesday evening.

The attackers of Odiahu remain unknown as of the time of filing this report.

Sources, however, disclosed that the staff on duty at the time of the incident have been arrested by police operatives.

“They are currently helping the police in their investigation at the Divisional Office of the Nigeria Police Force, Okene,” a source said.

As gathered by EKOHOTBLOG, the incident was confirmed by a member of staff at NTA in Okene.

The staff, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said, “It is very unfortunate we all woke up this morning to see the corpse of one of our colleagues under the engineering department. When we closed transmission around 10pm on Tuesday, he left the office premises.”
