Eko Hot Blog reports that the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, today met with leaders and stakeholders of the party in Abuja.
The meeting was attended by former Vice President Abubakar, his vice presidential candidate, Godwin Obaseki, and suspended chairman of the party, Dr. Iyorchia Ayu, among others.

In a post shared on social media, the former Vice President wrote:
“Earlier today, I joined other leaders and stakeholders of our great party, the @OfficialPDPNig, at a meeting in Abuja. The meeting was ripe with productive discourse and collaborative energy. -AA“
The agenda of the meeting was not disclosed, but it might not be unconnected to the recent reports that Umar Ililya Damagum, the acting national chairman, is working for Wike, who has now been named in Tinubu’s cabinet.
Emerging reports allege that Atiku’s loyalists say Damagum has been “hobnobbing” with Wike and that he “mismanaged” the funds he inherited from the Ayu-led national working committee (NWC).
