Just In: Bandits Kidnap Speaker’s Father, Seven Others

• The abduction took place on Wednesday night when the heavily armed bandits invaded the community.

Gunmen suspected to be bandits in Zamfara State have kidnapped persons in Magarya village in the Zurmi Local Government Area of the State.

Among the victims is the biological father if the Zamfara State House of Assembly, Nasiru Mu’azu Magarya, this was according to multiple sources including TVC and Daily Trust.

The abduction took place on Wednesday night when the heavily armed bandits invaded the community.

Spokesperson of the Zamfara State Police Command Superintendent Shehu Mohammed reportedly confirmed the incident.

He said the command has deployed additional troops to the affected area to ensure the safe return of the victims.
