JUST IN: Boko Haram Attacks Home Town Of IGP
- Geidam town, the country home of the acting Inspector General of Police, Usman Baba Alkali, has been attacked by the Boko Haram insurgents.

Geidam town, the country home of the acting Inspector General of Police, Usman Baba Alkali, has been attacked by the Boko Haram insurgents.
It was gathered that the insurgents are currently at the heart of the town, burning shops and shooting sporadically in a gun battle with troops.
Details of the attack remain sketchy as of the time of writing this report.
As gathered by EKO HOT BLOG, the attack was confirmed by the Yobe Police Public Relation Officer, ASP Dungus Abdulkarim.

The police spokesperson said an Air Force jet has already been deployed to Giedam hovering in the sky.
He added that the terrorists are inside the town, causing destruction.
Abdulkarim, however, promised to give details of the attack, which according to him are still sketchy.
