JUST IN: Buhari Requests Senate’s Approval To Settle N226bn, $556.8m, £98.5m Judgement Debts

  • Buhari has requested the Senate’s approval to pay off judgement debts totaling N226 billion, $556.8 million, and £98.5 million.

  • These debts were owed by the Federal Government and will be settled through the issuance of promissory notes.

  • The request has been presented to the Senate for consideration.

reports that the President Muhammadu Buhari has formally requested the Senate’s approval to settle a judgement debt totaling $566,754,584.31, £98,526,012.00, and N226 billion.

The debt is owed by the Federal Government and will be settled through the issuance of promissory notes.

The Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, read Buhari’s letter of request during a plenary session.

Further details are yet to be disclosed.
