EKO HOT BLOG reports that the former lawmaker representing Kaduna Central senatorial district, Shehu Sani on Saturday claimed that President Muhammadu Buhari would have protested if ex-president Goodluck Jonathan’s administration piled up debts like the current government.

The governorship aspirant under the Peoples Democratic Party stated in an ongoing Twitter Spaces session with Daily Trust.

Sani lamented that Nigeria has never borrowed as much as it has under the Buhari administration.

The former lawmaker further stated that the current government keeps borrowing from everywhere despite the level of debt incurred by the country.

Sani in his statement said, “Never at a time as a country has Nigeria been in so much debt. We keep borrowing from everywhere.”

According to Sani, whatever President Buhari has done would be of no importance to Nigerians if they don’t feel secure.

The governorship aspirant wondered why Buhari is keeping incompetent persons in office and had not reshuffled his cabinet.

Recall that Buhari as a presidential aspirant under the All Progressives Congress in 2014 led thousands of party supporters in a protest rally in Abuja.
