JUST IN: Hackers shut down CBN official website?

The website of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, has been shut down by alleged hackers.

There are speculations that the website was attacked by an elite group of hackers referred to as Anonymous.

Anonymous is a decentralized international activist/hacktivist collective/movement that is widely known for its various cyber attacks against several governments, government institutions and government agencies, corporations, and the Church of Scientology.

The action was reportedly taken as the legend hackers ramp up cyberattacks on Nigerian government Internet assets, EkoHotBlog reports.

Although, no group has claimed responsibility yet, and the government is yet to comment on the latest development as at the time of this report.

As of the time of filing this report, see below the view of the official website of the CBN.
