EKO HOT BLOG reports that a federal high court in Abuja has set aside the interim order of forfeiture issued on properties belonging to Ike Ekweremadu, former deputy senate president.
In a ruling by the presiding judge, Inyang Ekwo held that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) concealed facts when it applied for an interim forfeiture of the assets.
Recall that a Federal High Court in Abuja had ordered an interim forfeiture of 40 landed properties belonging to the embattled former Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, who is currently in custody in the United Kingdom.
