Eko Hot Blog reports that the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC in November Kogi governorship election Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo was on Saturday grilled by operatives of the Department of State Services, DSS over an alleged petition against him.
The DSS had invited Ododo over the petition authored by some members of the opposition party in the state.
Spokesperson to Kogi State Government, Kingsley Fanwo confirmed the invitation of Ododo by the DSS in a post on his Facebook page.
However, Fanwo, who accompanied the APC governorship candidate to the DSS office did not reveal the allegations in the petition.
But he said the allegations “are frivolous and unfounded and that the APC governorship candidate honoured the invitation by DSS to respect a constituted authority.”
He added that Ododo was drilled by a team of Operatives at the DSS for hours, and he gave convincing explanations to the interrogators.”
He was thereafter allowed to go by the DSS operatives.
