Eko Hot Blog reports that the Ekiti State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress(APC), Paul Omotoso is dead.

According to Vanguard, Omotoso passed away in the early hours of Wednesday.

As of the time of filling this report, the cause of his death is still unclear.

It was however gathered, that the late Chairman has not been in the best of health since his kidnapping saga in July 2023.

The publicity secretary of the party in the state, Segun Dipe confirmed the incident but could not give further explanation as to the cause of Omotoso’s death or where his body was deposited.

Meanwhile, former Governor of Ekiti State Dr Kayode Fayemi, has expressed his condolences on the death of the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Ekiti State, Paul Omotoso.

Fayemi described Omotoso as a committed leader, unifier, and key figure in the party in the state.

He made this known in a statement signed by the head of his media office, Ahmad Sajoh, on Wednesday.

Fayemi said the party chairman’s unexpected exit has created a significant gap within the APC family in the state and among all those familiar with the departed party leader.

He lauded the late Omotoso as a dedicated leader and unwavering advocate of the APC’s principles and agenda in Ekiti State.

“Under his stewardship, our party achieved significant victories in recent elections, gaining the trust of our people.”

Fayemi noted that Omotoso had been a loyal member of the party for many years, starting from the Alliance for Democracy days.
