JUST IN: Ese Oruru’s Abductor Sentenced To 26 Years In Prison

The Federal High Court in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, has sent one Yinusa Dahiru, who reportedly abducted and took, Ese Oruru, a teenager to Kano and married her off.

The verdict is the outcome of the long-awaited, intractable case that spark outrage and caused furore some years back.

Delivering the judgment on Thursday, presiding judge, Justice Jane Inyang sentenced Dahiru to 26 years in prison.

Jane acquitted Dahiru on Count one butjailed him five years (count two), seven years (count three) seven years (count four) and seven years, count five.

The judge averred that the sentence would run concurrently.
