EKOHOTBLOG reports that the former Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, Ogbanna Nwuke, has officially dumped the party.
Nwuke, who recently resigned his position as the spokesman of the APC, made known his decision while addressing newsmen in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital on Monday.
The former Publicity Secretary disclosed that his decision followed his perceived “marginalization and abandonment of Etche people” under the watch of his friend and the current administration of the federal government led by the APC.
Nwuke, however, stressed that he was yet to decide on the political party to join but failed to rule out the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as his next destination just as he noted that he has now decided to “align with those who are ready to develop Etche”.
The former APC spokesman added that for six years, Etche people were yet to feel any “impact of the federal government” particularly in the “empowerment, appointment and infrastructural development”, noting that it was wrong for him to remain in a party that promised his people change but never bothered to effect it.
Nwuke stated that he was happy that he left the APC more united than he met it when he took over the affairs of information management.
