Former Falcons coach Ismaila Mabo has died.

He was confirmed dead on Monday morning after batting with an undisclosed illness.

Mabo led the Falcons to their best-ever outing at the Women’s World Cup — a quarter-final finish at the 1999 edition.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Former Head Coach of Nigeria’s senior women’s football team, Super Falcon, Alhaji Ismaila Mabo is dead.
Mabo died in the early hours of Monday morning at 78.

He died at his residence in Jos, the capital of Plateau State, after a prolonged illness.
The legendary Mighty Jets of Jos captain and ex-international had in January confirmed to Journalists that he had been battling illness following the demise of his wife.
Funeral prayers for the late coach will be held at 10am Monday.
