‘Fake News’ — CBN Denies Devaluing Naira

Eko Hot Blog reports that the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has denied the devaluation of the naira.

Earlier Thursday morning, Daily Trust exclusively reported that the apex bank had devalued the naira from the official rate of N461.6/ 1 USD to N631.

However, reacting to the report in a tweet later Thursday morning, the CBN said it did not devalue the naira.

It described the report as fake news.
