EKO HOT BLOG reports that the federal government has confirmed that swarms of birds and locusts are attacking three northern states and ruining farmland.
Sokoto, Kebbi, and Zamfara are the affected states.
Dr. Maimuna Habibu, the federation’s top veterinary officer, stated on Saturday that Zamfara and Kebbi states have seen the most reported cases of the invasion of locusts.

According to Dr. Habibu, the ministry has already sent out officers to start using drones to attack locusts in the afflicted states.
