EKOHOTBLOG reports that the First City Monument Bank (FCMB) has been gutted by fire.
It was gathered that the bank located on Murtala Mohammed Road in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, was gutted by fire around 3.20 pm on Wednesday
The inferno was said to have thrown customers and staff of the bank into panic as they all scampered for safety.
The fire was however put off by the state fire service personnel who arrived at the bank at about 3.28 pm on Wednesday.
Sources within the bank disclosed that the fire outbreak started in a location close to the toilet inside the bank.

When contacted, the branch manager, who refused to comment on the development, said, “We have an emergency at hand, I can’t say anything now until we have put the situation under control please.”
EKOHOTBLOG reports that officials of the state fire service, who came to the rescue could not be reached for comments as of the time of filing this report.
