- A popular supermarket in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), was on Saturday night gutted by fire.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that the popular Ebeano Supermarket in Lokogoma, Abuja, was on Saturday night gutted by fire.
The fire outbreak, which was described as massive, caused panic in the area as people scampered for safety in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The cause of the inferno and the extent of damage could not be ascertained as of the time of filing this report.
It was, however, learnt that many firefighters arrived at the popular supermarket to put out the fire.

As gathered by EKO HOT BLOG, the incident was confirmed by the FCT Fire Service spokesman, Ibrahim Muhammad, saying, “Ebeano Supermarket is on fire and many FCT fire stations namely Nji, Games Village, Garki and Asokoro are there fighting the fire.”
