[VIDEOS] Fresh Crisis Resurfaces In Ile-Ife, Modakeke

• Ile-Ife and Modakeke crisis is one of the oldest intra-ethnic conflicts in Nigeria going as far back as 1835

A fresh crisis has resurfaced in Ile-Ife and Modakeke area of Osun State as at least five persons were found brutally murdered while going to their farm.

According to eyewitnesses, the bodies were found in Modakeke in the early morning of Friday at Toro road.

Police spokesperson in the state, SP Yemisi Opalola, confirmed the incident, adding that a team of police operatives has been drafted to restore order in the areas.

As a result of the crisis, the Obafemi Awolowo University has shut its main gate to stem the influx of vehicular movement into the its campus.
